JINGDEZHEN

I visited Jingdezhen as a visiting faculty member in West Virginia’s Ceramic program. It was a great time, with students from Utah rounding out the fun. Most memorable – crazy motorcycle taxi rides, the nightclub with the spring loaded dance floor, street food and walking the streets of the Shanghai French Concession. I loved the squawk and bustle of Shanghai –the boats on the river with giant flashing billboards, the slow train to Jingdezhen, 3 bunks high piled with extended families, all of us riding slow and hot.
